Point Blue Conservation Science

Point Blue Conservation Science advances the conservation of birds, other wildlife, and ecosystems through science, partnerships, and outreach and is home to the award-winning Students and Teachers Restoring A Watershed (STRAW) program.

MY WORK

Grant Consulting and Writing:

From October 2015 through March 2016, I provided Point Blue with interim grant program support and consulting. I worked with program directors and Point Blue leadership to develop grant proposals and reports, develop systems and to help on board a new team for institutional fundraising. I also led and prepared successful grant proposals like this one to the Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment in support of Point Blue’s STRAW program.

Donor Communications:

In spring 2016, I supported the advancement team by writing the featured content for the 2015-2016 Annual Report.

IMPACT

“Point Blue Conservation Science was fortunate to find Christine at a pivotal time in our advancement operations. Her interim support of our grants program afforded us the time and space to identify and orient top caliber staff to take Point Blue’s institutional philanthropy to the next level. Christine’s work consistently exceeded our expectations. As soon as she came on board, she established lines of communication with key Point Blue staff and set up systems for managing shared work flows. With minimal oversight, Christine helped Point Blue scientists and other organizational leaders develop high quality foundation reports and proposals, concurrently offering strategic guidance and enhancing the quality of our professional storytelling. In due time we hired two institutional philanthropy team leaders. Christine warmly welcomed these new colleagues, and effectively transitioned her work in progress and insights so they could hit the ground running. I highly recommend Christine to any organization seeking top quality grant production and management from a wonderful external team member!”
